The receiver recently developed a speaker fault which I reported to Mydome through their 'contact us' page; the same afternoon I was offered a replacement unit. It works on a normal light switch and turns the switch on and off according to preset times by means of a small wheel/cog powered by standard AA batteries.If you do find the temperature too cold (or too hot) at any point, just let a member of staff know and we can adjust the air conditioning accordingly. The only problem might be that if you want it to detect natural gas then it needs to be high up on a wall and not many homes will have a socket up high.

Only drawback is noise of switch going on and off if the switch is in room where you are, otherwise you don’t hear it.
